We have designed a range of Airport Ground
Lighting and Engineering Systems courses which meet BTEC and City &
Guilds standards.
The courses address safe systems of work to
meet with current Statutory Regulations and the impending acceptance of
IEC document 61821 in the UK.
Competency of all staff working on airside electrical systems is a key
requirement for compliance with these documents. Through these structured
training mediums and together with the necessary experience, Employers and
Staff can demonstrate Competency.
Airfield-Lighting.Com recognise that it is often
difficult to release key staff to travel overseas and offer bespoke courses
for overseas clients and provide training on site (OJT). The key advantages
to this arrangement is that more staff may benefit from the training, staff
are away from work for the minimum amount of time and training is focused on
the site equipment.
Our Engineers are experienced AGL Engineers and are also qualified
Instructors and Assessors to the Edexcel national
standards (D33 & D34 Units) of the Training & Development Lead Body.
We have extensive experience of working and living overseas particularly the Middle East.
Our typical OJT programme includes both formal
instruction and practical exercises with an end test should this be required.
The courses are a balance of theory, AGL principles and practical
participation by each student through "hands on" use of equipment
and techniques.
